Welcome friends...thanks for coming by. We're seeking beauty in all of creation... in our faith and our families; our art and our music; our crafts and kitchens, and even in our own backyard. We'll share a poem or a recipe, a picture or a memory; maybe a dream of how we wish our life could be. And though we acknowledge that the world can be harsh, we're keeping it pleasant in our little corner; endeavoring to keep the words from the Book of all Books: ...Whatsoever things are lovely; think on these things.

I so enjoy hearing from you...so leave me a comment; it'll make my day!

Finishing the Project

I finally got some projects done today;

I stitched the 'stuffing hole' in my painted rooster pillow...
(I couldn't decide if it was 'puffy' enough. I finally decided
that puffy or not, it had to be done.)

Finished Jordynn's wrist warmers- she's gonna
love those peace sign buttons!

Completed Juniors hat (my first shaped knitted project!)
Sure hope it fits...

Stitched up the hems on my pillowcases; I made them
to match the pretty floral duvet I bought at a garage sale,

and weekend I finished "Heidi" for the book-challenge
issued by http://www.scrabblequeen.blogspot.com/, what a fun
read!

Then I wrapped up Linda's birthday gift.

Finishing things is hard for me. I just love to start things; but once it becomes hard work, it quickly loses it's luster.
I often think about my faith. I want to finish well. Like the apostle Paul. He said, "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. (I Tim. 4:7)
Of all the things I want to complete; the most urgent is to complete the tasks that God has assigned me to do on this earth.
Lord, help me to stay on course. And thank-you for Your promise that You will perfect that which concerns me.
