Welcome friends...thanks for coming by. We're seeking beauty in all of creation... in our faith and our families; our art and our music; our crafts and kitchens, and even in our own backyard. We'll share a poem or a recipe, a picture or a memory; maybe a dream of how we wish our life could be. And though we acknowledge that the world can be harsh, we're keeping it pleasant in our little corner; endeavoring to keep the words from the Book of all Books: ...Whatsoever things are lovely; think on these things.
I so enjoy hearing from you...so leave me a comment; it'll make my day!

Thank you, Scrabblequeen!
The family has headed back to Portland, and it's time for my life to return to 'normal'. The same day the kids arrived, I got a package from Scrabblequeen. I won...yes I did! (The kids were quite impressed that blogger friends would actually send PRESENTS!) Miss Scrabblequeen gave a little quiz and I gave the correct answer. Now if your not familiar with Scrabblequeen, you wouldn't know how fond she is of tea...and it's a shared fondness. She knows this and sent me a box of Cameron Valley tea...which at this very moment, I am quietly sipping and savoring. Also in the box of goodies were two flavors of lip balm AND a Celtic Legacy CD!!! Be still my heart! I've just popped the CD into my laptop player and OOOOOh, AAAAAAh, such soothing music is bathing my soul. I've been planning to reintroduce music to my blog...and this glorious instrumental music may be just the ticket...if I can figure out how to do it! Go raibh maith agat, Scrabblequeen! (the gaelic term for thank-you!) My blogger friend is an accomplished knitter too! Stop over and see her Frankensocks...the most colorful socks you can imagine. How I wish I could do that! http://scrabblequeen.wordpress.com/

Congrats Debora! I got to meet Ruth in person while we were in her area last year. She's a jewel!
Whew...so glad it made it to you. That same cd (my copy) was my very first Celtic music album. Still a favorite of mine; I'm so glad you're enjoying it.
