Silver Threads Among the Gold

I woke up this morning with a song running through my mind. Mom and Dad used to sing it to one another. I don't think I've heard it, for well, since dad passed away when I was a teenager, it must be close to 50 years. I guess it came to me because of all of this talk about going gray. Mom, did you hum this song to me as I slept? However it came, I'm glad it did. Keep some tissues nearby as you listen.

  2. aw, Sweet Pea, I Enjoyed yore Grey Chronicles.

Aunty be a fair, blue/green eyed blonde goin' grey too...so this wuz most interstin'. I gits something' called a "glossing"
Which shines up yore hair, keeping the grey from look kin' dull. It goes on like color, but is clear. Very pretty effect, washes out in about 20-25 washes. It can have some color added, like light brown, but washes out, so it doan leave no lines. Way some ladies do it, is to have this glossing wif'color added, though less and less as they grey until it's jes' a clear gloss.

Youse so purty, anything ya wanna do is jes' icing on yore cake.
