Introducing an original poem by Ana P. Byers
Ana is 10 years old and recently moved to Seattle from Portland, Oregon.
This gifted young writer just happens to be my grand-daughter!
Seattle
by Ana Byers
lights flashing
horns honking
phones being used
TV's blaring
restaurants overflowing
ferry horns' blast
balls fly through the air,
fans cheering "Go Mariners"
concerts by night
radio music by day
cover your ears or join the music
Seattle may be loud
but it has meaning.

Nice...
Wow! I can see why you're so proud of your lovely granddaughter. She's got the talent for sure! Thank you for sharing her poem with us.
Lovely, both the poem and the granddaughter. Keep encouraging her to write! How absolutely wonderful. Susan
I hope you will publish more of your granddaughter's poems or even encourage her to blog her poems herself!
Lovely gift, being a poet.
Debra, I know there's a party going on in Seattle, and you
should be celebrating this young lady!
