Welcome friends...thanks for coming by. We're seeking beauty in all of creation... in our faith and our families; our art and our music; our crafts and kitchens, and even in our own backyard. We'll share a poem or a recipe, a picture or a memory; maybe a dream of how we wish our life could be. And though we acknowledge that the world can be harsh, we're keeping it pleasant in our little corner; endeavoring to keep the words from the Book of all Books: ...Whatsoever things are lovely; think on these things.

I so enjoy hearing from you...so leave me a comment; it'll make my day!

An Inexplicable Longing for Pink Sweaters

Open Drape Front Cardigan
from Ann Taylor Loft

Every year between January 1 and February 28 I am suddenly gripped with this inexplicable desire to buy pink sweaters. Which is funny; because I'm not what you'd call a girly-girl and I don't usually wear pink. It must be a reaction to all of the Christmas reds and greens coupled by the onset of Valentine's Day. Does this just happen to me; or do you develop strange desires for certain colors during certain seasons?

Me too! But I think it's the wanting and wishing for spring that makes me desire pink at this time of year!
