Welcome friends...thanks for coming by. We're seeking beauty in all of creation... in our faith and our families; our art and our music; our crafts and kitchens, and even in our own backyard. We'll share a poem or a recipe, a picture or a memory; maybe a dream of how we wish our life could be. And though we acknowledge that the world can be harsh, we're keeping it pleasant in our little corner; endeavoring to keep the words from the Book of all Books: ...Whatsoever things are lovely; think on these things.

I so enjoy hearing from you...so leave me a comment; it'll make my day!

Look Down My Rain Barrel, Slide Down My Cellar Door...

First thing tomorrow I'm calling the City of Bellingham. They offer rain barrels for only $25.00. According to the instructions, all you have to do is add a faucet, and overflow hole with a grate, and you're done. Hubby says it'll be easy to do. One more step toward a sustainable garden.  How cool is that?

Which...reminds me of a sweet little song from the 1940's that mom used to sing to me; it goes like this...

Oh little playmate, come out and play with me

And bring your dollies three.

Climb up my apple tree,

Look down my rain barrel

Slide down my cellar door

And we'll be jolly friends forever more.
