Welcome friends...thanks for coming by. We're seeking beauty in all of creation... in our faith and our families; our art and our music; our crafts and kitchens, and even in our own backyard. We'll share a poem or a recipe, a picture or a memory; maybe a dream of how we wish our life could be. And though we acknowledge that the world can be harsh, we're keeping it pleasant in our little corner; endeavoring to keep the words from the Book of all Books: ...Whatsoever things are lovely; think on these things.

I so enjoy hearing from you...so leave me a comment; it'll make my day!

The Mountains Shall Break Forth into Singing

Hubby and Baron and I went hiking on Mt. Baker last weekend. When we first arrived at Heather Meadows, there was heavy mist upon the mountain. Then the sun broke through the clouds and it was glorious! Indeed, the mountains were singing and the trees were clapping their hands. If the earth is His footstool, how beautiful must heaven be?
I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help? My help cometh from the Lord which made heaven and earth.  Psalms 121

For you shall go out with Joy, and be led forth with peace; the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing; and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.  Isaiah 55

He leadth me beside the still waters; he restoreth my soul...

He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his namesake...  Psalms 23

There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God...Psalms 46

They that trust in the Lord shall be as mount Zion which cannot be removed, but abideth forever. As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the Lord is round about his people from henceforth even forever.  Psalms 125

Many blessings to you this week!

What beauty you've enjoyed - and so did I, even if "second hand beauty"! You've captured God's creation so finely and framed it in the best possible way with His own Words. So appropriate. So reassuring and inspiring.

Your pictures should be framed. How blessed we are.
