Welcome friends...thanks for coming by. We're seeking beauty in all of creation... in our faith and our families; our art and our music; our crafts and kitchens, and even in our own backyard. We'll share a poem or a recipe, a picture or a memory; maybe a dream of how we wish our life could be. And though we acknowledge that the world can be harsh, we're keeping it pleasant in our little corner; endeavoring to keep the words from the Book of all Books: ...Whatsoever things are lovely; think on these things.

I so enjoy hearing from you...so leave me a comment; it'll make my day!

A novel? How I would like to hear more about it! Your pictures are lovely...ah to be working and have relief among the plants! Sunflower...I am from Kansas and that is state flowers...always had special feelings for its beauty. I find it hard to write in the summer...good for you that you can.

Bookie,
It's pretty much hard to write anytime. I just have summers off so am trying to maximize my time and get something done. My story is about the trials and tribulations of a young Catholic priest in guiding his first flock; a group of mostly elderly folk...so it includes the problems of aging, persnickety-ness, etc.

Oh my. There are many more than a thousand words in these photos. Thank you so much - and happy and productive times to you.

Love your photos, and sighed with satisfaction when I scrolled down and saw your vacation photos. Enjoy writing your novel.

The priest novel sounds just great! I just met a 79 year old monk who sleeps on Star War sheets...yeah, Catholic clergy can be hilarious.

Great flower photos!
